Ground is broken at Tyngel

Troax is expanding the world's largest factory for mesh panels

At the end of the summer, excavation work began west of the Troax factory in Tyngel, Hillerstorp. It will become home to the new painting facility and is scheduled for completion by 2016, at which point the total area of the Troax facility will be 30,000 square metres.

“The new facility allows us to increase further both the flexibility and quality of painting,” says Thomas Widstrand.

Investing in Hillerstorp

As recently as 2010, Troax invested SEK 30 million in a new production line for the manufacture of mesh panels. Now it is time for the next important investment in Tyngel, Hillerstorp, where the entire business originated.

“An increasing number of customers are choosing non-standard colours, and of course we want to ensure that we meet this demand with our usual short lead times for painting,” explains CEO Thomas Widstrand.

In order to shorten our lead times required by customers selecting non-standard colours instead of using standard colours, Troax is investing in a whole new painting facility. The expansion, including equipment, will cost an estimated SEK 50 million.

In Hillerstorp, Troax has the world’s largest and most efficient facility for the manufacturing of mesh panels for industrial applications, warehouses, and storage areas. The company's other production facilities are in England, Italy, and China.
