Fondberg Group acquires majority of Vinovativa AB
Fondberg has acquired majority of shares of Vinovativa from investor Magnus Wilkne and his companies by Share Purchase Agreement closed on December 14th, 2016.
The acquisition makes Vinovativa a subsidiary of Fondberg Group. Other subsidiaries of Fondberg Group include Fondberg&Co AB, Modern Wines AB and Swedish Export Vodka AB. This acquisition serves both Fondberg’s and Vinovativa’s strategic goals and is made with long term perspective. Vinovativa will, same as the other subsidiaries of Fondberg group, be developed and managed quite independently within the Fondberg group.
Product portfolios and customers of the Fondberg companies and Vinovativa complement each other extremely well. Fondberg has been and is consistently successful in tendering with the Monopoly and is well represented in the horeca market. Vinovativa is very strong especially in the high-end horeca market, in travel retail as well as in border trade. Joining forces will make the enlarged group considerably stronger both in on-trade and off-trade markets.
The ownership and status of Vinovativa’s founding partners Mikael and Christian Monteil as well as employment relations of the personnel of Vinovativa remain unaffected in the acquisition.
