100 million mobile users unlocked for TV advertisers with Widespace’s new video technology

Widespace, Europe’s leading mobile brand advertising company, launches a new ad format called StreamView. It utilizes the company’s new auto-playing technology to combine the creative possibilities of video ads with substantial reach across premium sites and apps. This makes it possible to reach users, who are rapidly turning away from linear TV, with high impact branding campaigns.

The decline of linear TV viewing is creating huge problems for traditional TV campaigns, especially those targeting younger audiences. StreamView helps TV advertisers reach their audiences where they’re spending their time: on mobile devices.

StreamView is designed to deliver video ads placed on premium sites and apps, and are automatically played when displayed on the screen. The video is muted as it begins to play and it’s displayed in a format that minimizes data usage for users. If the user clicks on the video then it continues to play in high resolution, full screen, and with audio.

“The advertiser pays per view, a payment model based on in-screen ads. Widespace technology is unique as it also includes support for iPhones on mobile web, which means that we deliver these ads across all platforms”, Fagerlund continues.
