Joakim Berne appointed as new CEO for Sail Racing International

Sail Racing International designs and develops clothing for speed sailing. The company has a long history as a partner to teams in competing in the Volvo Ocean Race, Extreme 40 series, World Match Racing Tour and Americas Cup. Sail Racing is the official clothing partner of the 35th

Americas Cup and Oracle Team USA. Sail Racing is also successfully selling a lifestyle collection via sailracing.com, Sail Racing Club House stores and through premium dealers.

Sail Racing’s former CEO and Co-Founder, Martin Rydell, will continue to work with the development of marketing and new products. Martin will also take the role as Chairman of the Board in Sail Racing.

“Sail Racing has grown 15 to 20 percent annually over the the past few years, and we see an exiting international growth potential ahead,” says Martin Rydell. “It is the right time for me to hand over the responsibility as CEO to Joakim. He has a detailed plan for the development of the company for the years to come. This will give me the opportunity to concentrate on creating great, new products together with the design and development team for Sail Racing.”
