Salming Trail5 has been announced as winner in the category Performance - Trail Running Footwear! 45 judges from 13 countries and two continents discussed all applications and selected the awardees. ”This is an acknowledgement and confirmation of Salming heading the right way when entering the trail running segment and we are very proud to be selected” says Thomas Nord, Head of Design & Creative Director at Salming.

Every year, ISPO honors the most exceptional sporting goods with the ISPO AWARD. A jury consisting of independent sports business professionals evaluates several hundred entries – also from non-exhibitors – following clearly defined criteria. This premium selection presents a welcome orientation for both sports business professionals as well as end-consumers. It serves as a reference for retailers when choosing their upcoming product range; to end-consumers, it is seen as an important purchase argument. Both trust the jury's neutral decision.

Salming Trail
Swedish and Italian design and technology meet in the latest addition to the Salming Running range - the Trail5 - due to be launched July 2017. The Salming Trail5 is made to master extremely technical trail running. If you were to to own just one trail running shoe - the Trail5 is your obvious choice. A lightweight trail shoe made for any kind of weather conditions and any kind of surface - wet, dry, slippery, soft, muddy, rocky - you name it, Trail5 powered with Vibram MegaGrip takes you there - with an unmatched running feel.

The design and construction is based on the Salming Rule of 5™ that steers the shoe design process and it incorporates the Natural Running Support System™ and has the cushioning properties of Recoil™ and Recoil R™.

What is Vibram MegaGrip? 
Its a sticky and very long wearing compound that provides excellent grip on wet, muddy, slippery surfaces as well as dry rocky surfaces.

The Salming Trail 5 - Natural Running Support System, consists of:

  • The Torsion Guide System 62/75™ (TGS62%/75°)
  • The flex and stability DNA of the Salming EnRoute (Due to be launched to the market i February 2017) model that includes raised rear foot midsole walls and an anatomical interior heel cup.
  • The Wrap-Around-Design™, consisting of the ExoSkeleton, the gusset tongue design and a 3-layer upper sandwich construction sealed off with a protective thin net mesh.
  • Cushioning properties Recoil™ midsole with an offset heel Recoil R™ insert for enhanced cushioning properties.
  • Drop 5mm (Stack height 24,5mm center heel, 19,5mm ball of foot)
