Silvent launches Pro One with air shield
Now Silvent presents the Pro One air gun with an air shield. The air shield provides the operator with an extra protection and decreases the risk of eye injuries when blowing with compressed air. Besides the unique air shield, the Pro One-AS is a quiet and durable air gun, developed for professional use in the industry.
Compressed air is used by most industries, and is often used to blow off work places from dirt or chips. This can be a big safety risk, since flying chips and other particles can bounce back towards the operator, which can lead to injuries, especially if the wrong safety equipment is used.
– It happens quite often that the operator gets injured when blowing with compressed air. One of the most common injuries are eye injuries. To limit the risk, we have developed an air gun with a built-in air shield, that protects the operator from smaller chips and particles. We want everyone to have a good working environment and that is why we wanted to develop a product that makes a difference for the user, says Anders Erlandsson, CEO, Silvent.
Also small particles can cause large injuries
Our eyes are very sensitive. Even small particles, liquids and dirt can cause discomfort and can even lead to permanent damage.
– We recommend that our customers always use safety glasses when blowing with compressed air, but the air shield gives an extra protection. The air shield stops the chips and particles that bounces back at the operator and prevents these to gets in behind the safety glasses, says Anders Erlandsson.
The technique behind the air shield
Pro One-AS is designed with small air holes that allows enough air to pass to create a protective shield. The air shield has sufficient pressure to protect the operator from dust and small particles.
