Söderberg & Haak reorganise to face a difficult machinery market

After a few years of reduced turnover when profits turned to losses, Söderberg & Haak are now restructuring the company. Its purpose is to create a cost-effective organisation that focuses on the customer.

Since Jonas Jaenecke took over the reins as CEO last autumn his task has been to analyse the company and to find a sustainable way forward. There is a prevailing over-establishment of machinery dealers within the agricultural sector, at the same time as many farmers face profitability challenges.

“Söderberg & Haak have gone from profit to loss in only a few years”, says Jaenecke. “We must take this into account and make the adjustments that are necessary. The review of the company that has taken place shows that it is fully possible to reverse the trend.”

“The changes mean that we are looking at our workforce and making changes in the company in accordance with the new conditions. It is not yet clear how many employees will be affected. We will begin Codetermination Act negotiations in March. We will try to carry out the reorganisation as smoothly as possible through redeployments, retirements or sales of businesses.”

Jaenecke emphasises the company’s strengths:
