Sony releases firmware update for RX0 II adding Auto Focus video functionality and compatibility with RMT-P1BT

Sony has released a firmware update for the RXO II ultra-compact camera (model DSC-RX0M2G), delivering key updates such as AF-S during movie recording functionality, improved operational stability and compatibility with RMT-P1BT[i].

The version 2.00 update is proof of Sony’s continuing commitment to deliver customer value by adding ‘AF-S during mov rec’ function to improve the internal 4K 30p recording and overall user experience. The function can be found in the menu settings and once turned on, can be activated with a half-press of the shutter[ii].

In addition to the new functionality, the update improves the operational stability of the camera and adds compatibility with the Wireless Remote Commander RMT-P1BT, allowing users to capture life from any angle.

The Version 2.00 firmware upgrade is downloadable for free on the Sony Support site[iii].
