Automation Region and THINGS join forces to fuel industrial innovation and collaboration

Automation Region is a collaborative project for strengthening and showcasing the Swedish world-leading automation industry and our substantial automation and production know-how. With 97 enterprises as members Automation Region have created an effective platform for sharing, collaboration and inspiration.

THINGS is a 2,000 square meter hardware hub in Stockholm with 32 startups and Main Partners like ABB, Assa Abloy, Husqvarna, NCC, SP and KTH. THINGS is focusing on collaboration between startups and established large companies in the areas of IoT, wearables, 3D scanning and printing, automation and robotics.

“We are looking forward to work with THINGS in finding new solutions and seize opportunities that arise in the rapid development of technology. At the same time we are positioning ourselves for the upcoming digitalization of industry and society”, says Mikael Klintberg, process manager at Automation Region.

The new partnership between the Automation Region and THINGS is in effect immediately and will bring joint activities and efforts to fuel innovation in the 72 billion SEK automation industry in Sweden.
