Den lyiska sopranen från Mariehamn på Åland, tar sin kandidatexamen från Operahögskolan i Stockholm under våren och hon har under 2013 tilldelats både Anders Walls Giresta-stipendium och Birgit Nilssons stipendium. I maj är Sofie aktuell på Drottningholms Slottsteater som Carolina i Cimarosas opera Hemligt äktenskap (Il matrimonio segreto) med premiär 26 maj.

The medal was awarded at a ceremony in Queen Lovisa Ulrika's dining room at the Royal Palace in Stockholm, on February 7th 2013.
