TEDxÖstersund an emerging generation celebrates #whereicomefrom

ÖSTERSUND 2/27/15. It’s finally time for the first ever TEDxÖstersund conference. We have a great line up of speakers  and we’re happy to announce our fabulous program for the event.

TEDxÖstersund is an independently organized event operated under a license from TED. A group of more than 30 highly committed people from the Östersund area have collaborated to arrange the event, which takes place on Saturday, February 28. The event theme is “Emerging future” and this is what we believe in:

#WhereIcomefrom true enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, motivated and committed people have chosen a life in the rural areas. We call this place home. We are part of an emerging future and we want to showcase that future to the world. We are the ones chasing the freedom to choose where we want to live and work. We embrace change and innovation with an open mind and we are the game changers who are here to stay.

We love any coverage of our TEDx event, however please note: All forms of filming and photography are strictly forbidden during the TEDxÖstersund event.

Members of the press are not allowed to take photos of or film/videotape the TEDxÖstersund event. Instead, TEDxÖstersund's in-house photographer Johannes Poignant will be happy to share selections with the media shortly after the event.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are selforganized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
