Radar and AIS installation on river vessels
During December Telemar Partner Swed Ship Marine installed new JMA-5212 X-band radar, echo sounder, AIS and GPS compass, all JRC branded to “Go Vakker Asta” a 15 m passenger/bike ferry. Installation and commissioning was successful and a Telemar technician was present for a separate calibration run of the vessel.
“Go Vakker Asta” carries passengers across the river Glomma between the eastern and western parts of Fredrikstad and is part of the “River Metro” system in the city. Public transport by commuter ferries is part of the strategic urban development along the river.
