TDoS design on P&O Cruises Australia new build

P&O Cruises Australia will make history by becoming the first cruise line to build a new ship specifically for the Australian market.

Tillberg Design of Sweden have been entrusted with the wonderful task to design the interiors for the entire ship.

The 135,500-ton ship will be the biggest cruise ship ever to be based fulltime in Australia, carrying more than 4200 guests.

P&O Cruises is the modern face of Australian cruising and, with such a proud heritage of leadership, it is a natural step to announce that the line will take delivery of its first newbuild ship,” said Mr Myrmell, President of P&O Cruises Australia.
“Details and features of the new ship will be revealed later, but it will build on the continued evolution of the P&O Cruises’ brand and will reflect the tastes of modern Australia”, added Mr Myrmell.

The new P&O ship is due to launch in 2019.

The P&O Cruises Australia ship will join a fleet that was recently expanded with the addition of Pacific Aria and Pacific Eden in November 2015. It will thereby reach six ships in total, including the introduction of Pacific Explorer in 2017 – all to meet the growing demand for cruises in Australia.
