Björn von Euler has joined *UP There, Everywhere after retiring from his role as Director of Philanthropy with ITT Corporation.
Eric Dowell, who along with Julian Stubbs was one of the original founders of UP*, said ‘Having someone of Björn’s reputation and abilities join us is incredible. He will be a key person as we move forwards building the international operations of UP*.’
Previously with ITT Corporation Björn was named ITT’s first Director of Philanthropy as a result of the work he had done in positioning the company as a thought leader and global business leader in the water technology space. He led the development of ITT’s signature citizenship program, ITT Watermark ( www.ittwatermark.com) until 2011. Prior to this he led the communication and branding work as the Director of Corporate Communications for ITT’s Fluid Technology and Motion & Flow Control groups. (www.itt.com)
His work for ITT and the water sector has led to several external leadership appointments for organizations such as Water for People, Water Environment Federation (www.wef.org), The International Water Association’s Strategic Council (www.iwahq.org), World Business Council for Sustainable Development’s Water group (www.wbcsd.org)
