KOSMOS+, SWEDISH PREMIERE MARCH 12, 2016

KOSMOS+ is quite unusual - a rare opportunity to experience space on the theatre stage! A story unfolds about supernovas, sunstorms, comets and asteroids. A mind-boggling adventure for everyone who has ever wondered about the mysteries held in space.

Join Tom, 7, as he journeys out in the outer space. He meets astronomers, mathematicians, scientists, filosophers and the girl in the moon.. Humoursly told, we learn about human life on earth mixed with the near unfathomable facts of cosmos. This is where we live, and this is what we see the sky. We are part of a cosmic drama that runs its course far, far away, but affects us every day.

Magnificent images fill the stage. Projections of immediate beauty and violent force are accompanied by rhythmic electro-music. Music and images, drawings and narratives show the fantastic history of the universe, where everything is interconnected.

The performances in Uppsala, Sweden, are co-produced with Uppsala City Theatre and Hotel Pro Forma. Hotel Pro Forma developed COSMOS+ from its international laboratory for the arts, located in Copenhagen, Denmark. The celebrated production premiered at the National Theatre in Vilnius, Lithuania in 2014 and continued on to Copenhagen in 2015. The premiere on March 12 marks the production's Swedish premiere.

In addition to public performances at Uppsala City Theatre in the Spring 2016, a series of dates are set for schools in the region to attend KOSMOS+ for free.
