SentoClone accompanies Swedish delegation in India

2009-11-10 10:55On Friday 6 November, SentoClone joined the Swedish Minister for Trade and a group of Swedish companies at a life science roundtable conference during a visit to Delhi. The purpose was to discuss concrete opportunities for cooperation with representatives from the Indian government, healthcare services and business community.
In addition to Minister of Trade Ewa Björling, a Swedish delegation took part including Johan Järte, CEO of SentoClone, Anders Björlin, CEO of Kiwok, Mohammed Homman, CEO of Vironova and Lars Gatenbeck, CEO of LifeEquity, as well as Peter Bramberg and Dr. Sanjeevi Carani from the Invest in Sweden Agency (ISA). In total, the conference was attended by slightly more than 50 people representing the Swedish and Indian governments, healthcare services and business communities.
"We are a hand-picked group from various areas of life science who were given the opportunity to participate in this trip alongside representatives of the Swedish government. For us, this has opened doors and considerably improved opportunities for concrete future cooperation," says a satisfied Johan Järte, CEO of SentoClone.
During the visit, organized by ISA, the delegation also visited the Apollo Hospital in Delhi, which has sister hospitals in Hyderabad and Chennai. The Apollo Group is the leading supplier of healthcare in Southeast Asia with some 40 hospitals.
At the same time as the roundtable conference was in progress in Delhi, Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt was also there representing the Swedish presidency of the European Union to discuss environmental and climate issues with the Indian government.
