Bioprocess Control signs agreement with Svensk Biogas and forms closer ties with Swedish Biogas International.

Lund based Bioprocess Control Sweden AB, winner of the Swedish national clean-tech innovations competition MiljöInnovation 2007, has signed a development agreement with Linköping based Svensk Biogas AB. During 2007, Bioprocess Control will verify its prize winning process optimisation software application Biogas OptimizerTM at the newly constructed Händelö biogas site owned and operated by Svensk Biogas.

Testing of Biogas OptimizerTM is scheduled to begin in May and will continue into the Fall, with the intention of assessing the performance of the optimisation application during full-scale production conditions.

- The Händelö biogas production site is ideal for testing Biogas OptimizerTM. The combination of having access to one of the most efficient biogas production sites in Sweden along with the extensive knowledge and experience of Svensk Biogas, will create a perfect environment for testing the capabilities of Biogas OptimizerTM, commented Kristofer Cook, CEO for Bioprocess Control.

While being partly financed by Energimyndigheten through Svenskt Gastekniskt Centers collective research programme, Svensk Biogas decided to dedicate both personnel and financial resources to the verification and development of Biogas OptimizerTM .

Bioprocess Control has also begun to form closer ties with Swedish Biogas International AB, the privately owned biogas company with an exclusive license agreement regarding the biogas knowledge and patents from Svensk Biogas and Tekniska Verken in Linköping.
