ECCO staff player Thomas Bjorn enjoyed the unparalleled comfort and style of his signature ECCO golf shoe on the way to a 3-under-par 277 to tie for second place, one shot behind the winner of the 2005 PGA Championship at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, NJ.

The runner-up finish marked the seventh top-10 of the year for the Danish superstar. Bjorn’s strong performance, his best-ever at a PGA Championship, was sparked by a major championship record-tying 63 in the third round that included a remarkable eight birdies.

“I went out there and gave it my best shot,” he said. “Ultimately, it wasn’t to be, but I stuck my nose in there, played hard and tried hard. I gave it 110 percent all week in everything that I did and came up one shot short.”

Bjorn previously finished third at the 2000 PGA Championship and was second twice at The Open Championship (2000 and 2003). An ECCO endorser since 2001, the 35-year-old is now poised to move into the top 20 on the official World Golf Rankings.
