op5 today announces that Alfakassan has chosen op5's products for monitoring its critical IT environments, e.g. servers, operative systems, applications, and telephony. Alfakassan thereby moves from a manual monitoring of the IT environment to an automated web based monitoring with op5 Monitor. op5 Monitor is a web based system for monitoring of entire networks, applications and IP traffic flows and is suitable for all companies, from the small organisation to large organisations with many thousand monitored units.

Alfakassan chose to purchase the products packaged as an "Appliance", which means that all software and hardware is delivered in a package. After that, the customer can itself, or with the aid of op5, connect the easy-to-use solution in the network and press the "Start" button to swiftly get started. Before the purchase, Alfakassan also evaluated HP Open View and Tivoli but finally chose op5, mainly because previous good expereinces with the product that op5 Monitor is based on.

Alfakassan is an independent unemployement insurance fund that welcomes all labour groups on the market. The company has approx. 140 employees divided on four offices and approx. 75000 affiliated members. Alfakassan started its operations on January 1, 1998 by the Federation of Unemployment Insurance Funds, SO, as a supplement to other insurance funds on the labour market.
