Eisai Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, President and CEO: Haruo Naito) expresses its deepest
sympathy to the victims of the Tohoku district-off the Pacific Ocean Earthquake and Tsunami that
struck the area on March 11, 2011 causing severe damage.
In response to this disaster, Eisai has decided to offer a donation of 200 million Japanese yen to
aid relief efforts for the victims in the disaster-stricken area.
The Company has established an independent crisis center in the Tohoku region headed by its
deputy president to formulate and implement thoroughgoing measures in response to this
disaster. In line with its human healthcare (hhc) mission, Eisai is determined to make best efforts
to support patients and their families as well as residents living in the disaster-affected area.
Eisai sincerely hopes that its donation and support will help with relief efforts to aid victims of this
disaster and prays for the early recovery of the afflicted area.
