The Taiwanese theatre company U-Theatre will be performing on stage August 23 at this year's Birgitta Festival in Tallin, Estonia.

This special ensemble believes in a harmony of theatre, percussion (big drum, gong, sound bowl), martial arts and meditation. The piece ‘Sound of the Ocean' is an intense psychical and emotional experience, chaos and ruination, which traces the cyclical journey of water from drop to a stream - from river to ocean.

Since its premier Sound of the Ocean has been performed over 140 times all around the word at different events including the Venice Biennale, Lyon Biennale, the Sao Paulo Arts festival, Singapore Arts Festival, Bergen international festival, Next Wave festival (BAM), New York and Chekhov International Theatre Festival, Moscow.

The Birgitta Festival is staged at the Birgitta Convent in Tallin, Estonia and runs August 13 to August 23.
