Globe Award 2011 – Leading Sustainability Awards

The winners of Globe Award 2011 will be in Stockholm on May 11.

STOCKHOLM, May 4, 2011 − Anthony Schoofs from Ireland, Southwest Windpower Inc from USA, Park Choon-Hee, Mayor of Songpa in South Korea and Vancity, Vancouver City Saving Credit Union, from Canada will be in Stockholm on May 11 to receive this year’s Globe Sustainability Award in research, innovation, city and reporting category categories respectively.

Globe Award is presented for the fifth consecutive year. The aim is to discover and encourage researchers, innovators, cities and companies outstanding in sustainable development. Globe Award’s mission is to highlight and acknowledge particular cases and initiatives within the sustainability area.

The prize ceremony will be held at the Globe Forum sustainability conference in Stockholmon May 11^th. The winners and representatives from the four different jury groups jury will present the winning projects.
