VionLabs organises “THE FILM & TV HACKATHON” with Expressen as their media partner
“The Film & TV Hackathon” is the biggest event in the Nordic countries of its kind, dedicated to all coders, developers, designers, visual artists and innovators living in Stockholm. “The Film & TV Hackathon” takes place in KTH’s “Reaktor 1” in Stockholm 24th-26th January 2014. Expressen have chosen to be the media partner and will be broadcasting the event live during the weekend. They will also participate in the competition with their own team, led by Expressen’s IT editor Peter Frey.

The aim of the event is to create new and innovative ideas that merge technology, multimedia, and data to improve the overall film and TV experience. The developers are divided up into teams, and whoever manages to create the most innovative and clever solution wins. The members of the jury, all of whom are experts in their respective fields, are proudly presented as the following:

Sweden is one of the most exciting tech innovators for film and TV in Europe. The aim is that this hackathon will create tech motivation to maintain Sweden's position in this field. VionLabs have since 2009 developed digital eco-systems for carriers, cable networks and Internet providers with focus on user experience. They recently released atflick MMDb, a Spotify app that allows the user to discover film soundtracks. VionLabs were also awarded “Guldmobilen 2013” in the category Mobile Innovation of the Year.
