Death Cab for Cutie med nytt album 17 augusti – Första singeln “Gold Rush” ute nu
Den 17 augusti 2018 släpper det flerfaldigt GRAMMY®-nominerade bandet Death Cab for Cutie sitt nionde studioalbum “Thank You For Today”. “Gold Rush” är den första låten från det kommande albumet och finns nu tillgänglig på samtliga streamingtjänster samt hos återförsäljare. Till ”Gold Rush” släpptes även en musikvideo som regisserades av Alex Sotham (alt-J, Mumford & Sons) där Ben Gibbard också själv medverkar.
Det nya albumet ”Thank You For Today” produceras och mixas av Rich Costey som också producerade bandets tidigare kritikerrosade och GRAMMY®-nominerade album ”KINTSUGI”. För första gången hörs förutom de ursprungliga bandmedlemmarna Ben Gibbard, Nick Harmer och Jason McGerr även Dave Depper (Menomena, Fruit Bats, Corin Tucker, Ray Lamontagne) och Zac Rae (My Brightest Diamond, Fiona Apple, Lana Del Rey, Gnarls Barkley) på albumet. Både Dave och Zac har sedan 2015 turnerat med bandet.
Mellan juni och november 2018 kommer Death Cab for Cutie att göra en omfattande USA-turné med undantag från enstaka datum i Europa och Sydamerika.
