Port of Tarragona, a Cruise Tourism Destination

This year, Tarragona Port will receive 40 cruises and 40,000 passengers. These cruise-goers typically hail from the United Kingdom, France and Italy and have a medium to high purchasing power.

It is currently the base port of Costa Cruises, with its Costa neoRiviera itinerary, and in 2017, the Carnival Corp and Royal Caribbean cruise lines will also stop at Tarragona, allowing their passengers to enjoy its rich historic, cultural and social heritage. Companies like Azamar, Silversea, Crystal, Windstar and P&O are also choosing Tarragona Cruise Port as a stopover for their cruises.

Tarragona Port is the entrance to the Costa Daurada, a destination replete with tourist attractions, including PortAventura World, which this year has opened Ferrari Land, a theme park dedicated entirely to the Ferrari brand; the city of Tarragona, with its enormous wealth of Roman remains; the city of Reus, where Gaudí was born; and the Cistercian Route.
