Epson Printers and Projector Win Red Dot Award

- SINGAPORE, July 12, 2018 - 

Seiko Epson Corporation (TSE: 6724, "Epson") has won the Red Dot Award in the Product Design category (Red Dot Award: Product Design 2018) for its printers and a projector. This year marks the second successive year that Epson products have been recognised in this award.

Epson products recognised with the Red Dot Award

  • XP-8500/6000 multifunction inkjet printers
  • WF-3720/4720/4730/4740 multifunction inkjet printers (equivalent model to the WF-3720 in SE Asia is the WF-3721)
  • ET-2700/2750/3700/3750/4750 ink tank inkjet printers (equivalent models in SE Asia are L4150, L4160, L6160, L6170 and L6190 ink tank printers respectively)
  • EB-1795F portable projector

Created in 1955 in Germany, the Red Dot Design Award is organised by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen design center and is recognised around the world as one of the most prestigious awards in the design field. A jury of experts evaluates products announced during the past two years and selects the best designs based on nine criteria, including degree of innovation, functionality, ergonomics, ecological compatibility, and durability. This year's winners were selected from entries from 59 countries.

The WF-3720/4720/4730/4740 and ink tank inkjet printers were also recognised among the iF Design Award 2018 winners.
