Works created by emerging and mid-career artists from EurAsia will be part of this exclusivehotel art fair, held in Singapore from 17th to 19th January 2014 at PARKROYAL on Pickering where 33 rooms on an entire 14th Floor will be coverted to art galleries. Art Apart Fair 2014 follows the successful launch of the “Apart Fair Series” in January and July 2013, which were the first-two-ever hotel art fairs to be held in Singapore. For six days in January and July 2013, 63 rooms in Conrad and PARKROYAL were transformed into a dreamscape of fine art that intrigued both art lovers and discerning collectors. Rosalind Lim, organiser of the fair, says, “We want to create an art fair with a difference where visitors not only could feast their eyes on works of art but have a memorable experience interacting with artists, curators, gallerists and art collectors. Our key focus this time is the curated artworks with 2 themes…. ‘The Artists’ Garden”, and “ The Destruction of the Readymade Everyday” focusing on converting the 2,000 sq ft presidential suite into a gardenscape of more than 100 curated artworks by participating artists from 10 culture-rich countries namely Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Russia, Germany, Switzerland, Myanmar , Indonesia, Philippines and including host country Singapore. “The exhibitor Dr Pwee Kheng Hock of Utterly Art adds, “Not only did I meet several new clients during the Art Apart Fair 2013, many of them followed up with visits to my gallery and purchases totaling some 15 art works in all. The novel and picturesque hotel setting and unusual display options make for a lively and memorable experience.

Mid Career emerging artists such as Hyun Su Park of CK Art Space have created new works for Art Apart Fair 2014. This is an opportunity for emerging and midcareer artists to gain recognition on an international stage, and show their talent directly to a community of Asian art lovers and collectors in Singapore The fair is held in conjunction with the The Art Week Singapore, the on-going Singapore Biennale and Art Stage which together reach out to more than 100,000 people. Artists will also enjoy the opportunity to showcase their works at the eco-friendly presidential suite and open hotel corridor with water feature and greenery. Organisers hope to better January’s 2013 edition of the Apart Fair Series, which saw more than 3,000 visitors and buyers. With over 150 artists and exhibitors expected to participate, it is a landmark event not to be missed. Up-and-coming artists such Zorikto Dorzhiew, Hyun Su Park, Haroku Cho, Slavinsky Ivan and many more will be returning for Art Apart Fair 2014.

In addition to artwork displays, Art Apart Fair 2014 will include art talks/discussion by leading artists and industry experts, live art performances, a specially curated art auction at ‘’The Artists’ Garden,’ and many more activities. This bi-annual event is a good platform for talent from all over the world to showcase and sell their art work, and also network with likeminded artists, gallery owners, curators.
