Held over 2 days at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre, this year’s Internet Show Asia was filled with a series of informative seminars and 6 conference tracks, attended by exhibitors, key industry leaders and representatives from prominent brands.

After the Chairman’s opening speech, the joint plenary for Day 1 began by touching on 3 topics: “Twitter and the future of mobile marketing”, “How BBC uses social media to engage and woo the digital audience” and “Understanding social media in an Asian context”. Some of these speakers include Ms Aliza Knox (Mangaing Director of Twitter APAC), Mr Vincent Sider (Vice President of BBC Worldwide Social Media) and Mr Edwin Ting (Marketing Strategist of Weibo). Morning refreshments rounded up the joint plenary, after which, the conferences, exhibitions and seminars went into full swing.

Mynewsdesk Singapore was proud to a media partner for this annual event, and for the first time, we had our favourite Red Man join us. He was certainly in a jovial mood that day, randomly breaking out into a dance, showing off his moves, much to the delight of the guests, attendees and fellow exhibitors. The Red Man was definitely a star in his own right that day, receiving many photo requests from the enthusiastic crowd.

As Asia’s largest and most holistic multi-channel business event, it certainly was the place to be to network with like-minded individuals and businesses engaged in the digital space. Most importantly, it is also a platform where innovations and expertise are showcased; collaborations are established and novel ideas, birthed forth.
