Diversifying the growth strategy

Equinor expects strong demand growth for renewables over the next decades, and has established a new business area for New Energy Solutions to drive further profitable growth within these areas.

NBAS and Innovation Norway are pleased to invite you to a presentation by Hanne Wigum on how Equinor is working to grow and possible expand into new areas of renewable energies. Further, Ms Wigum will present how they are working to transfer decades of experience from the oil and gas industry into expertise to these growing markets.

Hanne Wigum is head of Renewables Research and Technology development in Equinor. Together with her team she is currently focused on developing new profitable technology solutions with focus on offshore wind and solar to support Equinor’s growth strategy in renewable energy.

Ms Wigum has a PhD and post doc in catalysis from Chemical Engineering at NTNU, Norway. In her 16 years in Equinor she has held different leadership roles with focus on development of new commercial solutions for a large number of technical areas- from gas to liquids, refining, oil sands, and for the last six years renewable energy.

Further, Harald Olderheim will present the Norwegian Solar Energy Cluster and the general development in the solar energy market.

The Solar Energy Cluster is a national cluster for the solar energy sector in Norway. Its activities are focused both on the Norwegian as well as the international energy markets. The objective is to strengthen the Norwegian partners’ innovation capacity and competitiveness and to take a bigger share of the global energy market.

Harald Olderheim is Investment Relationship Manager at Norwegian Solar Energy Cluster. He has an MSc from NTNU in Norway and an MBA from University of Oxford. He has experience as a successful entrepreneur, as a partner in a VC cleantech fund and as a management consultant. He has been involved in a high number of solar energy startup companies both as investor, as entrepreneur and as board member in various countries. He is at the moment also working as a Business Development Manager at Kjeller Innovation where he is responsible for several of their cleantech portfolio companies.
