PrizmaX, Q’uelle and Nagareda Project to perform at the C3 CharaExpo 2016

Singapore, 5 July 2016 - C3 CharaExpo 2016 has announced more additions to this year’s show. Several iconic names have been added to the guest list bolstering the expo’s already massive draw with its impressive line-up.

One of the more prominent additions include Kouichirou Natsume, a producer who has played a pivotal role in the growth of the Japanese anime industry over the years. He is also representative director and president of Aniplex and representative director of A-1 Pictures. He is best known for his involvement with popular productions such as Mahou Shojo Madoka Magica and Anohana.

Music fans rejoice! This year’s C3 CharaExpo will feature full-lengths concerts from PrizmaX, a 5-member Japanese boyband who made their debut in 2013, performing their hit songs ranging from genres of music such as hip-hop, r&b and funk. For the fans of anime girl bands, voice actresses behind the upcoming series BanG Dream! will be making an appearance on stage.

The event will feature groups like Q’uelle, popular Japanese girl band set to release their 2nd album in October this year, and Color Pointe, a dance troupe known for their futuristic concept of ballet.

Nagareda Project will perform a special showcase at the C3 CharaExpo 2016 which combines their best-known anime songs with Sony Digital Entertainment’s new 3D face swapping app called, “connectee”. Built with face recognitiion technology that includes a variety of 3D masks, the app lets fans take fun interactive selfie videos during the Nagareda Project’s set. Fans should download the app to win exclusive C3 CharaExpo giveaways.

Another exciting new highlight this year will be a Gundam showcase, the science fiction franchise featuring giant robots. Fan can catch voice actors such as Yasuaki Takumi (Akihiro Altland), and Taishi Murata (Norba Shino) will make an appearance. Also taking the stage are the members of school-idol group Aqours from Love! Live! Sunshine!! The second-year team of Anju Inami, Rikako Aida and Shuka Saito will be making their very first appearance in Southeast Asia.

Cosplayers around the region have much to look forward to as two prominent guests from the cosplay scene will be present to strut their stuff and host an open stage autograph session. Angie and Ying Tze have amassed more than a 100,000 fans on Facebook with their anime-like features and award-winning costumes. Both Angie and Ying Tze will also be guest judges at the Cos*Stage cosplay competition.

The finalists of the Cos*Stage cosplay competition have been selected! Join us at the C3 CharaExpo to see who will represent Singapore at the Cosplay Collection Night which will be held at the Tokyo Game Show in September this year.
