The Cambridge Academy of Transport (CAT) is pleased to announce a change to its shareholding via the appointment of two new investor-directors, Manish Singh and Malcolm Willingale, to the board.
Dr. John Doviak, Managing Director of CAT, in announcing the new partners said: “I am delighted that Manish and Malcolm will help build the academy’s standing and reputation as a long-established provider of executive training to the shipping industry.” He added: “The new executive team will introduce an expanded portfolio of courses in the UK, Singapore, Dubai, Hong Kong and other key locations, additional bespoke courses for key clients, introduce a CAT alumni association and develop CAT’s distance learning programme.”
Elaborating on the new direction for CAT, Manish Singh, who until recently was V.Group’s Business Development Director for Asia, commented: “CAT is a cut above the rest in terms of quality maritime education. In addition to our absolute commitment to make our seminars and distance learning experience best-in-class, we will introduce value-added features to our customers and provide life-long learning opportunities to our alumni. The imminent launch of CAT Alumni Association will bring together an interactive alumni body comprising over 3000 people who have attended one of more courses and global members of faculty and directors. We will also enhance our offerings to cater better for ship-board personnel.”
Dr. Malcolm Willingale, brings extensive shipping industry experience including roles at V.Ships Group, Lloyds Register and Informa Group. He takes charge of CAT’s business development and product enhancement initiatives. Malcolm commented that: “I have been associated with CAT for 20 years, having worked with John and other faculty members in Cambridge, Dubai and Panama “. It was clear from my very first engagement that CAT offers something very special to our industry and I look forward to a closer association in the future.”
