Singapore Exchange (SGX) is pleased to sponsor the “Best Investor Relations” award for SGX Catalist companies at the IR Magazine South East Asia Conference & Awards 2011.
This inaugural award recognises the efforts of Catalist companies in investor relations practice, and is introduced to inspire Catalist companies in their commitment to communicate with and engage their shareholders.
Shareholders and investors are becoming increasingly aware that corporate governance is not just about complying with rules or reporting requirements. Companies are increasingly expected to disclose more information and communicate with their shareholders and share insight on efforts to uphold good governance.
“SGX firmly believes that good investor relations practice by a listed company is key to earning the trust and support of their investors, that in turn contributes to its long term success and value. As a listed company, SGX practices this diligently. As an Exchange, we support our listed companies with initiatives and guidance in areas ranging from corporate governance to increased research to help them in fostering relationships with their shareholders. This inaugural Investor Relations Award for Catalist companies is a continuation of such support, and recognises the excellence in investor relations practices amongst the Catalist community. And we hope that the award will inspire more companies to heighten their shareholders’ engagement going forward,” said Mr Lawrence Wong, Head of Listings, Singapore Exchange.
The nominees for the inaugural “Best Invest Relations” Award are 800 Super Holdings Limited, Chasen Holdings Limited, Kinergy Ltd, and Santak Holdings Limited. The Winner will be announced at the IR Magazine South East Asia Conference & Awards 2011 to be held at SGX on 6 December.
Singapore Exchange (SGX) is among the world's largest exchanges and Asia's second largest listed exchange. As the Asian gateway, SGX is the market of choice for investors wanting to participate in Asia's vibrant and rapidly growing economies, and for Asian issuers seeking international capital.
