FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SINGAPORE — July 2016 — Newly-opened Washoku GOEN at Parkway Parade, like its other outlets, serves their usual menu of curry rice, ramen and … salad bar.

Just late last year, Washoku GOEN, went viral with their gigantic Katsu Original Curry Rice at Wisma Atria’s Food Republic; a guilty pleasure of many.

With ‘eating clean’ gaining massive popularity in Singapore, Head Chef, Mr. Noboru Matsumoto noticed the lack of healthy options offered by Washoku GOEN to meet this increasing demand. In introducing a salad bar at its outlet at Parkway Parade, Mr. Matsumoto hopes to gain new patrons (hopefully more females) as well as retaining its current customer base by providing them healthier options, apart from the usual all-time favourite Katsu Curry Rice and other specialties.

Only available at its stall at Parkway Parade’s Food Republic, the salad bar is priced at $7.90 for 6 toppings with 1 dressing. There are almost 40 toppings to choose from and approximately 8 dressing options. Toppings available include romaine lettuce, broccoli, cabbage, red pepper, yellow pepper, grilled chicken, bacon, mushroom, egg, tomato, avocado, corn, parmesan cheese, etc.

When spoilt for choice, just order off their recommended salad menu. Choices include Caesar Salad ($5.90), Mimosa Salad ($6.90), Omakase Salad ($7.90), Tuna Salad ($8.90), Cheese Salad ($9.90) and Mount Fuji Salad ($19.90).

Washoku GOEN can be found in Parkway Parade’s Food Republic, open daily from 10am to 10pm. Only cash payment is accepted.
