Raffles Dubai is pleased to announce the appointments of its newest recruits.
Joining the successful Food & Beverage team, is Tuomas Heikkinen – Executive Sous Chef and Jan Scheu - Chef de Cuisine of Fire & Ice.
Finnish native Tuomas, who has worked in some of the most prestigious hotels and restaurants in Europe, West Indies and Asia, brings with him a wealth of experience. His journey began as a Commis at the Oxo Tower in London. Then, after working in various 2 star-Michelin restaurants in London, the Hassler Hotel in Italy and the Oberoi in New Delhi, Tuomas took over as Senior Sous Chef at Four Seasons in the Eastern Carribean. We look forward to Tuomas sharing his international background to bring fresh ideas and exciting new concepts to our culinary teams.
Jan, brings over 10 years of experience from a variety of countries including England, Australia, Indian Ocean, Asia and Dubai. After joining Burj Al Arab as a Commis, he went on to work with key market players such as Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, Atlantis Palm Jumeirah and Mandarin Oriental in Singapore, where he held his most recent position as Chef de Cuisine. Taking over the helm of Fire & Ice Jan, a German national, will use his vast knowledge to enhance and upgrade the current menu offerings in this award winning restaurant.
