AccorHotels announces new Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel & Residences

AccorHotels will launch the Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel & Residences on 1 August, further consolidating the Pullman brand as the fastest-growing upscale brand in Asia Pacific. Perfectly located in the heart of the trendy Bukit Bintang district, the hotel offers 445 spacious hotel rooms and 157 serviced apartments, boasting spectacular views of the city skyline.

Formerly the Prince Hotel & Residence Kuala Lumpur, the well-maintained hotel will undergo a full refurbishment over the next two years to reach global Pullman standards of excellence, and will remain open throughout, with renovations designed to avoid guest disruption.

“We are very excited to add this much-loved hotel to the fast-growing Pullman network,” said Michael Issenberg, Chairman and CEO AccorHotels Asia Pacific. “Since launching in 2008, the Pullman brand has really struck a chord with owners as a hotel that appeals to today’s connected and sophisticated traveller.

“The number of high-profile hotels that have rebranded to Pullman in recent months including The Park Lane Hong Kong, the former Hilton on the Park in Melbourne and now the Prince in Kuala Lumpur is testament to the brand’s ability to meet the needs of today’s ‘global nomads’.”

Pullman is a brand of stylish, upscale hotels with a contemporary vibe, innovative technology, high quality meeting spaces and best-in-class business and fitness facilities. The Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel & Residences is a perfect fit for the brand, thanks to its superb location and excellent facilities, modern rooms, panoramic views, fitness centre, kids club and outdoor pool. With Pullman having a strong focus on balanced food and beverage offerings, the hotel will feature six dining outlets from a casual coffee lounge and poolside terrace grill to Japanese and Chinese fine dining and will boast world-class meeting facilities including a 580 sqm metre grand ballroom and 11 meeting rooms.

It will be the fourth Pullman in Malaysia and the 56th in Asia Pacific, joining a global network which aims to reach 100 hotels by the end of the year. In Asia Pacific alone, Pullman has a strong pipeline of over 40 hotels in the next few years and will continue to expand aggressively. Pullman is now the largest five-star hotel brand in Australia and the fastest-growing AccorHotels brand in China, reflecting its popularity in the region.

The latest Pullman boasts a prime location within the ‘golden triangle’ of Kuala Lumpur, surrounded by the city’s best shopping, dining and entertainment. It is just a short stroll to the shopping mecca of Pavilion Mall and the local flavours of Jalan Alor street market. It also offers easy access to Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve, the Petronas Twin Towers, Menara Kuala Lumpur and a host of beautiful temples, colourful street markets and historic neighbourhoods, providing the perfect base for either business or leisure travellers.

Proving how dynamic the brand’s growth is, another milestone hotel will join the network two days later when the Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit (formerly the Grand Millennium Sukhumvit Bangkok) relaunches, adding a further 325 rooms to the network.
