Culinary Stars Whip up Gastronomic Delights at The Cliff

The Singapore Resort & Spa Sentosa will bring a Michelin-starred Chef every month from May 2014, to lend their culinary flair to the award-winning restaurant, The Cliff. Each chef will present a 6-course dinner at The Cliff and lead one Sunday Champagne Brunch at The Terrace.

The gourmet adventure at The Cliff begins with Chef Pascal Aussignac, from 14 – 17 May 2014. A successful co-owner of a small empire of French food exclaves in London, Chef Aussignac’s flagship restaurant, Club Gascon is the award-winning crowd puller, receiving several UK awards including Best Restaurant of the Year (2007), Best New Restaurant and Best French Restaurant from TimeOut Magazine, AA Guide and Good Food Guide over the years.

Chef Aussignac will bring his innovative inspirations to The Cliff, with a menu reminiscent of his South West France origins, featuring the best ingredients of the season embellished with his signature style in cooking. Chef Aussignac will also helm the Sunday Champagne Brunch at The Terrace on 18 May 2014, where he will present his delightful creations.

In June, we welcome Guest Chef Jarad Gallagher of Chez TJ in California; he will be at the resort from 4 – 8 June 2014. A Seattle native and second-generation chef, Chef Gallagher began cooking at the age of five alongside his father and became an Executive Chef at the young age of 21. With his strong passion for French cooking and years of experience leading Michelin-starred restaurants, Chef Gallagher has helped Chez TJ maintain their Michelin Star for eight consecutive years. His menu at The Cilff will highlight some of his signature dishes inspired by the sea, with a good mix of traditional French hearty meats.

Finally, Chef Saul Bolton of Saul, New York City will showcase gastronomic masterpieces from
9 – 13 July 2014. His Michelin-starred restaurant, Saul has held a Michelin Star for eight consecutive years and is one of the top restaurants in New York City as ranked by the Zagat Guide.  The brains and heart behind the highly raved restaurant, Chef Bolton believes strongly in

supporting local produce and ensuring that everything from sausages to ice cream are made in-house. His simple yet stunning approach to new-American cuisine keeps crowds and awards coming. Chef Bolton’s specialties at The Cliff will feature unexpected ingredients juxtaposed to create surprising dishes for a refreshing menu.

Cluster General Manager of The Singapore Resort & Spa Sentosa and Sofitel So Singapore, Tony Chisholm, believes the collaboration is a strategic move to place The Cliff right in the heart of the culinary map of Singapore. “The Cliff is a great restaurant with a long standing track record, and by hosting Michelin-starred guest chefs in her kitchen, we’ll firmly put The Cliff into the must-visit restaurants of food enthusiasts in Singapore. Diners are given a chance to explore cross-cultural epicurean experience with our line-up of internationally acclaimed chefs.”
