This miniature of the (Singapore Grand Prix 2011) Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix trophy, made by Royal Selangor, measures at 80mm high and is inspired by the Chinese saying “si hai zhi nei, jie xiong di ye” which translates to “Within the four seas all men are brothers”. The design symbolises the union of the different nationalities that come together to compete in the race. 

The sporadically arranged panels represent the different nationalities that congregate in the spirit of fair sportsmanship and create a sense of movement akin to the speed of the race. The trophy also resembles a high rise building representing the architectural landscape of the city race.
