CLARKE QUAY SUNDAY PLAYDATES 2017: MORE THAN JUST AFTERNOON TEA & GAMES

SINGAPORE, OCTOBER 2017 – Whether you are 7 or 70, there’s something to do for everyone at Sunday Playdates 2017. Weekends are a precious time to spend with your loved ones, and we want to make every brunch count. So sip on some wine and take it slow, there is no need to fuss over what to have (if your little ones can be picky) when there are more than 20 dining choices at Clarke Quay, and activities at the Fountain Square.

#THROWBACK TO THE GOOD OL’ DAYS

Clarke Quay is bringing back family-friendly entertainment on selected Sundays1 till December. Rain or shine, check out the eight different free-to-play game sets from 1pm to 6pm. These customized games are inspired by old-school arcade games like Pinball, and carnival games such as Ring Toss and Duck Shoot with a modern twist – making it familiar for the young-at-heart and relevant for the young. Or for a quainter afternoon, take a stroll down Peddlers’ Walk and go on a miniature exploration to learn about the Singapore River’s rich history through our photo gallery.

#WHATI8TODAY FOR BRUNCH

The Quay to a delightful date is to take them for a lovely riverside meal, and you’ll never run out of ideas when you’re here. Go on a foodie adventure and savour the diversity of cuisines – from comforting Indian tandoori at RAS The Essence of India, to the taste of the Spanish mountains and seas at Octapas, or gather the entire family for a round of authentic Szechuan hotpot at Da Miao Hot Pot and Haidilao Hot Pot. Impress your fun-sized partners with slices of cheesy Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizzas at Motorino Pizzeria, or never go wrong with some Fish ‘N’ Chips at Catch Beer & Batter or Fremantle Seafood Market.

Whilst the children are preoccupied prancing to the music and taking turns at the games, parents can easily can keep a close eye on them while dining at the outlets around the Fountain. A casual Sunday brunch calls for some luscious Eggs Benedict and Merry Berry Pancakes at Privé Clarke Quay, but a special occasion deserves a treat with a sumptuous Dim Sum spread and Live Stations presented by Executive Chef Martin Foo at VLV Singapore.

#SPORTS SUNDAYS

Beat the summer air and have a cold one at Harry’s Clarke Quay or The Bungy Bar as you cheer on your favourite teams. Places like McGettigan’s have a children’s menu, and live screenings of matches to appease sports enthusiasts. And it’s always great to be a kid because one kid dines for free on Sundays with every two paying adults from 12pm to 3pm at selected outlets!
