MCGETTIGAN’S PRESENTS: THE CORONAS LIVE IN SINGAPORE

Irish rock band, The Coronas, will perform live in a free outdoor concert this December at the fountain area in Clarke Quay, with thanks to McGettigan’s pub. The exclusive, not to be missed gig will form part of the band’s tour of Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Dubai. This is set to be an amazing show and is expected to reach full capacity, concert-goers are encouraged to get down to Clarke Quay early. Make the most of the extra outdoor bars while you catch the support act and enjoy a pre show bite to eat next door at McGettigan's where you can sample some of the award winning pub grub on offer.

Speaking about the upcoming concert with McGettigan’s in the heart of Clarke Quay, The Coronas front man, Danny

O’Reilly, said; "We are very excited about Singapore. We've played there before and the local Irish in Singapore came out to support us. This time we are going for a bigger outdoor setup in the heart of Clarke Quay and we are going to really enjoy it!"

The rise of The Coronas has been staggering making them one of Ireland’s biggest selling rock acts. They originated in Dublin and originally released their music through their own independent record label, 3ú Records. With three previous platinum-selling albums to their name, including the exquisite Closer to You (2011), the band has achieved widespread critical acclaim. Following the release of the their chart-topping first major label album The Long Way in November 2014, the band embarked on a sell-out tour of Ireland, Europe and Australia earning them a legion of new fans both at home and abroad.

Their latest album was released through UK major label Island Records, home to some of the biggest artists in the world including Disclosure, Florence and The Machine, Mumford and Sons and Irish Artists U2, Hozier and Little Green Cars. Most of ‘The Long Way’ was written and recorded before Island came on board with producer Eliott James (Kaiser Chiefs, Two Door Cinema Club, Noah and the Whale). The band is currently based between Dublin and London.
