PRESS RELEASE: CLARKE QUAY TRADERS' MARKET AT CLARKE QUAY

Starting January 2013, Clarke Quay in collaboration with For Flea Sake, a flea market brand, presents a series of conceptual monthly bazaars titled Clarke Quay Traders’ Market, Every Third Weekend of the Month at Clarke Quay Central Fountain Square that aims to bring a whole new shopping experience to Singapore’s top bustling F&B and entertainment hot spot.

Clarke Quay’s Traders’ Market is a lifestyle event that promises an experience beyond pure retail. Monthly highlights are planned with the headlining theme in mind and aims to offer fun and variety to the otherwise standard bazaars around town. From F&B kiosks to “Live” DJs, magic shows to free manicures and live acoustic band, there is something different and fun to look forward to each month while you shop. (For full 2013 calendar listing of CQ Traders’ Market, please refer to Annex A).

From a retail perspective, shoppers will be enticed to the unique fashion pop up stores offered and catered to the nightlife goers and tourists. On a monthly basis, the pop up stores will be refreshed according to the theme to pique shoppers’ curiosity and build anticipation. These pop up stores will serve a refreshing urban retail experience at Clarke Quay. Shoppers can look forward to being pampered with a memorable, fun and frivolous shopping experience.

Shopaholics can indulge in a clothes buffet during our upcoming January’s Spring Blossom Traders’ Market. A concept in which you pay a fixed price in accordance to the size of bag which then allows you to grab as many clothes you can stuff in. Other offers from popular blogshops such as Cherylelle, Miss:fi:t and Le Flirtini will feature pretty dresses that are bound to impress this Chinese New Year. In February, we invite the singles to get into the mood of love at our “Love Actually Traders’ Market”. Singles will purchase a gift at the market and proceed to a gift exchange session at Note Di Sicilia, a classy premium gelato kiosk at Clarke Quay. March is all about “FashMade” as shoppers can participate in art workshops and candy making demostration. Other thematic Traders’ Markets includes Earth Hour, Accessolicious, Best of Blogshops, Vintage Finds, Made in Singapore, Playground, Pink Ribbon Market, King’s Market and Christmas Market.

With so much more activities happening at Clarke Quay, be sure to mark your calendar and grab your partners or friends to join us for a unique experience!
