EmTech Singapore Rebrands as EmTech Asia

11 June 2015, SINGAPORE - Koelnmesse, in association with MIT Technology Review, have rebranded the EmTech Singapore event series to EmTech Asia, reflecting the true regional nature of the event.

“The rebrand of EmTech Singapore to EmTech Asia acknowledges that the conference has grown to be a pan-Asian event. By including Asia in the event name we hope to build on our presence as a pivotal event on the regional technology calendar by appealing to innovators beyond Singapore’s borders,” said Jason Pontin, Editor in Chief & Publisher of MIT’s Technology Review magazine, the owner of the EmTech event series. The 2015 edition of EmTech Singapore gathered close to 500 participants from 23 countries.

Howard Califano, Director of the SMART Innovation Centre and Chairman of the EmTech Asia Steering Committee remarked on the change in name as follows: “Singapore will continue to be home to EmTech in the region. The rebrand will open up the EmTech event series to research bodies and companies across the world that wish to showcase their technological innovations in Asia. We welcome them to Singapore.”
