Inspire. Innovate. Collaborate. Discover the future of technology and business at EmTech Asia 2016

SINGAPORE – Delve into a world where humans and machines are working side by side; where scientists are breaking the genome code to fight human disease and where fully and partially autonomous vehicles pave the way we transport, travel and commute. From 26 – 27 January at the Marina Bay Sands, 40 of the tech world’s most visionary leaders and innovators will address these trends and more at EmTech Asia 2016.

Professor Daniel H. Hastings, Chief Executive Officer of the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART), shares his view about the event, "EmTech Asia continues to bring innovative thinkers who will be talking about exciting future developments that would impact our lives. Topics such as deep learning, advances in robotics, digital transformation, connected health, intelligent transportation and other emerging areas promise to be highly illuminating. Over the last few years, the conference has become better and better and is now a must attend event for business leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, and change makers who want to change the world."

This year’s key themes aim to change the way we live, interact and learn. They revolve around:

  • Digital Life, which scrutinizes the advances in and impact of artificial intelligence, robotics and automation on everyday lives. These sessions explore opportunities and challenges from the Internet of Everything (IoE) age, including cybersecurity and analytics;
  • Connected Health, which looks at how healthcare is changing through the application of technology. It also explores aspects of genome editing – how nanomedicine is breaking the code to fight human disease;
  • Augmenting Knowledgeis a session that scans the ways technologies are changing the way we interact with each other and our environments. Speakers will delve into thenext frontier of Augmented Reality and biofeedback enhanced games;
  • Intelligent Transportation,will probe how fully and partially autonomous vehicles are changing the way we transport, travel and commute. This session will zero in on smart highways, the intelligent and interactive roads of the future;
  • The Future of Money, looks at how digital banking, payment gateways and cryptocurrencies will affect the way we are going to bank and pay in the future.

EmTech Asia 2016 also recognizes the TR35 ‘Innovators under 35’ from around the region. At the conference, 10 honourees from around the region will give elevator pitches about their work at. These pitches typically result in further publicity for their work, along with investment opportunities.

EmTech Asia is organized by MIT Technology Review and Koelnmesse. The host partner for EmTech Asia 2016 is the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA).
