Flooring type: Engineered Timber.
PROS: A relatively low maintenance option as compared hardwood flooring, engineered floorboards are a great option for homeowners who love the look of hardwood flooring. Designed to address all practical needs, they feature higher tolerance for moisture and are resistant to shrinkage. They can also be laid over most types of flooring and fitted in a day.
CONS: As it is generally thinner than solid wood timber boards, care has to be taken when sanding and recoating the existing layer. Engineered timber floorboards are also unsuitable for wet and humid areas like bathrooms.
MAINTENANCE: To keep your floorboards looking good, sweep or vacuum them regularly to prevent build-up of grit.
