Glamour Chic - Goodrich Gallery

Bold is beautiful, and Goodrich proves that statement to be true with their Harlequin Lucido range where turquoise steals the scene for a striking dose of glamour. Of course, modern-day genderless tones of bright pink (think Karim Rashid) or lime green are great substitutes – if not, complementary – for turquoise. The palette’s dazzling quality is accentuated further by glided motifs, or bronze or silver-tinged. The motifs are best non-geometric; think wallpaper festooned with Victorian-esque filigree.

The sky’s the limit really, as long as you know how to furnish the space. This concept is about high-gloss beauty juxtaposed with unpolished European chic. It’s modern but never contemporary. Makes sense? Imagine wrought-iron tables in a rusty finish. Or classical settees dressed in shiny fabric with adroitly sandpapered white wood frame. Since the walls are already expressive, it’s best to leave everything else plain but pretty. Floors can be dark or light, wood or tiles or carpeting.

Make a point to keep the space clean and clutter-free – no unnecessary baubles on the console table or display shelves, please.
