Fundraising Golf Tournament for Mercy Relief
Whether it is a case of golf or gold at Tanah Merah Country Club, the organizing committee of the HSL Golf Tournament certainly got both as they managed to raise more than SGD $220, 000 during this fund raising golf event. Partnering local humanitarian NGO Mercy Relief, the event was held in conjunction with the World Humanitarian Day which is an occasion to commemorate the efforts of humanitarian workers helping out in crisis struck areas. The philanthropy spirit was aplenty from the morning teeing off till the night dinner where Guest of Honour DPM Tharman Shanmugaratnam lauded the selfless efforts put forth from the stakeholders which include the humanitarian workers, students, as well as donors from the business community.
