Wang Zhenwei shared on the challenges and fulfilment of HSL’s ISO50001 implementation through his presentation “Synergy for Energy – The HSL Journey”.  On the key challenge faced in fostering an energy efficient culture, Zhenwei emphasised that, “HSL believes in the power of its people, more specifically the mind-set and willpower of the people – hence, the primary move to foster an energy-efficient culture was to involve, empower and motivate its employees in energy efficiency efforts. Empowerment cannot be mere lip service but, getting the employees to take responsibility as individuals and groups, and to understand that their actions can make a real difference.”
