Malaysia, April 6 2011 – Jebsen & Jessen Technology, a Regional Business Unit of leading industrial enterprise, Jebsen & Jessen (SEA), has been recognised by principle GE as its partner with the largest number of installations for the newly launched B850 patient monitor in Asia.

Jebsen & Jessen Technology’s Healthcare Division has installed 60 units in various hospitals across Malaysia since the new patient monitor was launched last year. Twenty-two of these monitors have been placed at the Sultan Ismail Hospital in Johor Bahru, making it the company’s biggest installation at a single venue.

“We have won almost all major tenders for monitoring equipment, including an installation of 19 units of our previous patient monitor model, the Solar 8000i, at a hospital in Johor Bahru,” said Department Manager Rengaraj Thanasegaran. “We have also demonstrated the versatility of the B850 by recommending its use in the operating room and intensive care unit, as well as in paediatric or cardiac care.”

The B850 patient monitor is the latest and most advanced offering by GE. One of the apparatus’ key features is the wide range of key parameters that can be monitored, such as ECG, blood pressure, temperature and respiration. It is also extremely userfriendly, with an intuitive design, and therefore can be easily used by staff across all experience levels.

The Healthcare Division launched the B850 in Malaysia in March last year, through a successful event attended by all key customers and prospects. Since then, the division has been actively promoting its use at various hospitals through Continuous Medical Education (CME) programmes.
