Innovating for growth: Leadership perspective from business visionary Narayana Murthy

Kimberly-Clark Asia Pacific’s leadership team recently had the opportunity to meet and hear from one of the ‘greatest entrepreneurs of our time’ – Mr Narayana Murthy, co-founder of IT giant Infosys.

Listed among the ‘12 greatest entrepreneurs of our time’ by Fortune magazine and among the top 10 of the Financial Times’ list of ‘business pioneers in technology’, Mr Murthy is known for revolutionizing the IT industry in India and is a sought-after speaker for topics ranging from leadership, entrepreneurship to technology.

Mr Murthy was in Singapore for Kimberly-Clark’s GM Accelerator Program held from August 24 to 26. Focusing on the themes of growth and innovation, the three-day program brought the GMs together with the global and Asia Pacific leadership teams as well as speakers from external companies and academia, with the objective of inspiring them to take the business to new heights.

In a fireside chat, he shared his invaluable perspective on leadership and developing an organization rooted in its core values. He was also the guest of honour at a dinner reception attended by dignitaries from the Singapore government, industry and academia.

This continues to build on Kimberly-Clark Asia Pacific’s commitment to fostering a culture of entrepreneurship within the organization and bringing thought leadership to the industry. Earlier this year, the company announced the formation of Digital Innovation Lab and expanded manufacturing and exports with the official opening of new lines for HUGGIES baby wipes and diaper pants at the Tuas mill, strengthening its innovation footprint in Asia.
