Marketing Institute of Singapore Training Centre introduces new programmes

18 July 2014, Marketing Institute of Singapore Training Centre (MIS Training Centre) launched four new proprietary programmes which will be offered on both part-time and full-time basis. There is also a syllabus revamp for Certificate in Sales & Marketing to meet the ever-changing landscape in Sales & Marketing.  

The four new programmes, with the first intake in September 2014, aim to attract individuals and working professionals with interest to upgrade their knowledge and skills in the arena of Sales & Marketing, Business Management and Retailing. These programmes also provide the foundation knowledge for those who are considering mid-career switch but not armed with marketing and business management background. The newly launched programmes include – Certificate in Retailing, Diploma in Business, Advanced Diploma in Marketing Management and Advanced Diploma in Business Management. 

Upon completion of Advanced Diploma programme with MIS Training Centre, students will only require one year to graduate with a related Bachelor programmes with MIS Training Centre’s University partners.  The total duration required from Certificate to Bachelor programme only take a minimum of two years and 6 months. 

Besides quality education, students of MIS Training Centre also benefit from networking opportunities and marketing guru talks organised by MIS membership services. These events created unique platforms for students to acquire and exchange knowledge from marketing and business leaders.

New programmes: 

Certificate in Retailing aims to equip students with the basic knowledge and skills needed at the frontline work environment and also provides an opportunity for career advancement in the Retail industry.

The Diploma in Business aims to provide students with a holistic view of the business process and to equip them with the knowledge and skills in the professional practices of business operations. 

Advanced Diploma in Marketing Management aims to provide students with a managerial orientation towards marketing. It covers all relevant topics that an informed marketing professional needs to know, as well as providing insights to issues faced in strategic, tactical and administrative marketing.

Advanced Diploma in Business Management aims to provide students with a managerial orientation towards business management.  Students will have a deeper understanding of the various functional areas of business management as well as insights to issues faced in strategic, tactical and administrative management.

The Marketing Institute of Singapore Training Centre is the training arm of Marketing Institute of Singapore (MIS), which was founded in 1973. To date, the Institute has nurtured numerous students, sales and marketing practitioners and provided networking opportunities for thousands of its members.
