EuroCham: Workforce Compliance: Avoid Costly Mistakes- A Discussion with Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and Central Provident Fund (CPF)

Dear NBAS Members,

EuroCham, in partnership with the European National Business Groups (NBGs) cordially invites you to join us in learning more about avoiding costly mistakes in workforce compliance, focusing on Human Resources (HR) legal obligations. Recent audit reports show that there are still knowledge gaps and misunderstandings about existing obligations. The event details are as follows:

Date: May 25, 2015

Time: 09:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Venue: AXA University

It is an opportunity not to be missed as members can engage with senior-level speakers from the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and the Central Provident Fund (CPF Board) to discuss regulations (current and expected changes) related to:

1) Immigration (focus on employment of foreigners)
“What are the relevant passes for foreigners to work in Singapore?”
“What are the regulations for Foreign Workers’ Levy and Quota?”
“How about foreign students who want to do their internship or work in Singapore?”

2) Re-Employment after Retirement
“ What rules does the company have to apply to rehire the employee after retirement?
“What are the implications related to the CPF contribution?”
“Can the company tap on any support program to upgrade the skills of the rehired employees?

3) Fair Employment Recommendations
“What are the standards in Singapore related to key employment contract terms and the itemised payslip?
“What are the consequences, if the company does not follow the standards?"

4) CPF Regulations
“What is CPF?”
“When is CPF payable?”
“How does the company have to calculate CPF contributions?”
“What is the procedure to pay CPF contributions?”
